Open ended Math Question:

1) Borg's Bike Shop has a number of bicycles and tricycles for sale. Mr Fletcher counted a total of 60 wheels. How many bikes and how many trikes were for sale? Show how you got your answer in more than one way.

2) Part 1 How many rectangles are there in each of these figures?

    Part 2. How many rectangles would there be if you added one more square block?

Literacy Questions:


1)  Read the Big Race and write your answers in your book.


2) Hamburger paragraphs:

Because we are currently learning about the process of writing better paragraphs, the teachers want you to watch these videos so we can discuss and sing them in class. 



Questions:
1) In the Video about Mr Heath's trip to London,he uses two (2) types of sentences. Write down which types you believe he used.
2) Write a paragraph that explains your feelings about homework. Remember to use the hamburger scaffold and a variety of sentences too.

Re-watch the powerpoint that Year 5 discussed last Thursday. It is presented to you as a video. Discuss it with someone in your house. Can you teach them something new about writing good quality paragraphs?







Remember your work is due Friday.
